1) Location : Frigiliana is located 6 km away from Nerja (on the Mediterranean sea coast) about 60 km eastwards of the city of  Malaga. It can be reached from Malaga airport by car or taxi (see road access). Frigiliana is about 110 km from Granada with its famous Alhambra palace,  about 130 km from Cordoba and 220 km from Sevilla.   2) How to reach Frigiliana (see access) :     To reach Nerja by car coming from the North (South-west of France), the most convenient road (highway) will be to drive to Madrid, Grenada, Motril and finally Nerja. On the road Nerja to Malaga just before leaving Nerja you turn right at the round about towards the mountains in the direction of Frigiliana. When arriving in the old village of Frigiliana, you will see soon a parking lot on the right hand side, in front of  the « Ingenio » a sugar cane factory well known by all local people. Park your car  there, the rest of the journey is on foot., as the house is situated in the upper, traffic-free protected  part of the old village.   3) House address:                                                                        Callejon del Penon 5                              29788         Frigiliana                                                      Province of Malaga   The house is located on the left hand side of the «Ingenio» in the middle of old the village. You can reach the house about 150 m only by foot. If possible please phone 3 hours before your arrival mentioning where you are and when you presume to arrive in Frigiliana Puri will contact you the day you are leaving to collect the house keys.       5) Description of the house : The house in which you stay can accommodate 4 (6) people. The house is ideal for those who refer the pleasant atmosphere of a  small village to the overcrowded seaside resorts. There  are spare sheets in the wardrobe of the house when needed. The house will be cleaned on your arrival and at  your departure. Child cot with bed linen and child stool available. 6) Some technical information : 6.1 Electricity/Telephone : 220 V 50 Hz available : the power switch and fuses are located at the left hand side of the entrance door.   One telephone (+34952534451) for local call or local internet connection is at your disposal in the living room. 6.2 Water :  Drinkable water is available from the tap. Hot water is given by an electric boiler located in the cellar and will be available two hours after having switched on the main  electrical switch. 6.3 Gas supply for the cooker :  The gas supply is ensured by a gas container installed into the cellar. The key of the cellar (a big old fashion key) is hanging on the  wall near the electric board. To switch on the gas supply in the cellar, please move the black key at 180 degrees in such a way  that the hose and valve are maintained fixed on the container. 7) How to buy food/cigarettes/house products etc.. : There are numerous small shop in the village where you can get almost everything you need. (Opening time from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and 5:00 until 9:00 pm). Supermarket are located in Nerja. 8) For kids and adults:            There is a public swimming pool located on the road down the Ingenio.There are beaches are in and outside Nerja. The mountain around Frigiliana is interesting to visit as well as the river bed. You can easily rent : sports equipment, bicycle, motorcycle in Nerja. Horse riding is also possible. 9) Local transport facilities (for information purpose only-prices on 01/06) :           The bus and taxi station in Frigiliana are situated in front of the «Ingenio» near the Guardia Civil 1) Frigiliana to Nerja : local and comfortable buses drive from Frigiliana to Nerja and back everyday for a very reasonable rate Euro 1 (01/03). The journey takes approx. 20 to 30 minutes depending on the traffic. (from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm approx. every hour 8 times a day, timetable available at the bus station in front of the « Ingenio» ).   2)  Malaga to Nerja : local buses everyday from 7:00 am to 9:30 pm from Malaga  (14 times a day for a rate of Euro 3,5 (01/03))    3) Direct connection from the Malaga bus station to the airport every half  an hour for Euro 1 (01/03). Taxi fare from the airport to the bus station Euro 8 (01/03)    4) Car rental available at Malaga airport at a rate (of approx. Euro 120 a week for an Opel Corsa i.e. 01/03 prices). Euro 85 (04/01) a  week for a 50 cc small motorbike.   6)  Taxi from Malaga airport to Frigiliana available at a rate of Euro 60 to 70 (01/03):             10)  Phone cabin and bank :          The phone cabin is situated in front of the Guardia Civil («Ingenio»).          There is an automatic teller at the Unicaja Bank office near the Guardia Civil.
